Patna: A major accident was narrowly avoided on JP Ganga Path outside PMCH Hospital in Patna on Wednesday when a doctor’s car suddenly caught fire while in motion. The vehicle, a CNG-powered car, was completely engulfed in flames within minutes. Fortunately, the doctor managed to exit the car safely, preventing any casualties.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick smoke and high flames shooting out from the vehicle, creating panic among nearby commuters and pedestrians. Local residents immediately alerted the Pirbahor police, who, along with the fire department, rushed to the scene. After a strenuous effort, the fire brigade successfully brought the blaze under control.
Possible Cause and Investigation
Preliminary reports suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the fire, though official confirmation is still pending. The police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to determine the exact cause.
Doctor Escapes Unharmed
The doctor driving the car acted quickly, stopping the vehicle and evacuating safely, ensuring there were no injuries or loss of life. The car, however, was completely destroyed in the fire. Authorities continue to investigate the incident to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
