
Motihari, Bihar: In a horrific road accident in East Champaran district, three people from the same family were killed on the spot late Tuesday night, while the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The victims were on their way to attend a wedding ceremony.
Accident Details
According to police, the incident occurred near Mahadeva on the Dhaka-GhodaSahan main road, under the jurisdiction of Ghodasahan police station. The speeding Scorpio lost control while trying to avoid an oncoming vehicle and crashed into a tree. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely damaged.
The deceased have been identified as Vinod Prasad, Anil Prasad, and village deputy chief Gajendra Das. Vinod Prasad’s son was scheduled to be married at a marriage hall in Ghodasahan, and the trio was traveling in the Scorpio to attend the wedding. Another person in the vehicle sustained injuries and has been hospitalized.
Driver Flees, Investigation Underway
Police reached the spot immediately after receiving information about the accident. With the help of locals, the victims were pulled out and rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared all three dead. The driver of the Scorpio remains at large, and the police have taken the bodies into custody for post-mortem at the Sadar Hospital. The incident has left the families devastated, and authorities are conducting a detailed investigation.
