Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan: In a heart-stopping incident on Sunday evening, a mother risked her life to protect her 18-month-old daughter from a sudden dog attack in Keshav Nagar Colony, Sawai Madhopur. CCTV footage of the attack has surfaced, vividly capturing the mother’s courage and maternal instinct.
According to reports, the woman, identified as Radha, was walking towards the market carrying her daughter when a stray dog lunged at her. The dog attempted to snatch the child from her arms, pulling at her clothes and knocking her to the ground. Other children accompanying her ran to safety in fear.
Despite the child slipping from her embrace onto the road, the mother did not falter. She confronted the dog with all her strength, even sustaining bites on her hand while trying to shield her daughter. Her persistent efforts kept the child out of harm’s way throughout the attack.
The commotion drew the attention of nearby residents, including another local woman who came forward to help. Startled by the noise, the dog eventually fled the scene. The mother immediately picked up her daughter, holding her close for several minutes to reassure her that the danger had passed. Miraculously, the child remained unharmed.
The incident, captured by CCTV cameras in the four-way junction area of Keshav Nagar Colony, has sparked concern among local residents about the rising population of stray dogs in the locality, posing risks to children and women alike.
