Mob Lynching Incident in Khairthal-Tijara, Alwar: Youth Seriously Injured, Referred to Jaipur

Alwar, Rajasthan: In a disturbing incident linked to alleged cattle smuggling, a young man was brutally beaten by villagers in the Khairthal-Tijara region of Alwar district. The victim, identified as Sahun Khan, suffered multiple fractures to his hands and legs and has been referred to Jaipur for specialized treatment.

According to reports, the incident occurred when Sahun Khan, accompanied by three associates, attempted to take three grazing cows from a field. Villagers intercepted them, suspecting them of cattle smuggling. Two of the accused, identified as Alisher and Khanna, managed to flee the scene, while Sahun was caught and beaten by the villagers. The three cows were recovered and handed over to the police.

Sahun, admitted to Alwar Trauma Ward, stated that he was accompanying Alisher and Khanna for the first time. “They called me to take the cows, and I had no prior involvement. On the way, the villagers caught us, and Alisher and Khanna escaped. I was beaten severely by the villagers,” he said.

Medical authorities confirmed that Sahun Khan sustained fractures in both his hands and legs, necessitating surgery in Jaipur. Dr. Vishnu Gupta stated, “Due to the severity of his injuries, he was referred to Jaipur for immediate operative care.”

The Khushkheda police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. Constable Vishnu Kumar confirmed that the investigation will determine whether the assault was solely due to alleged cattle smuggling or if other factors were involved.

Authorities are urging villagers to avoid taking the law into their own hands and to report any suspicious activity to the police.
