Minors Create AI-Generated Obscene Images of Young Women, Share on Social Media in Chhindwara

A disturbing case of misuse of artificial intelligence (AI) has come to light in Chhindwara, highlighting the growing concerns over digital ethics and online safety.

In a neighborhood along Nagpur Road, images of two young women were manipulated using AI to create objectionable content, which was subsequently shared on social media. Investigations further revealed that the perpetrators had even attempted to produce an AI-generated explicit video.

The victim became aware of the incident through an acquaintance and promptly reported it to the Kotwali police station in the evening by filing a written complaint. Acting swiftly, the police began an investigation and recovered crucial digital evidence from the suspects’ mobile devices.

Based on the findings, two minors from the same locality, who were acquainted with the victims, were identified and a case has been registered against them. The authorities are proceeding according to the law, given the accused are underage.

Kotwali Station In-Charge Ashish Kumar stated that the police are also investigating other social media platforms where the content might have been circulated. The case underscores the dangers of AI misuse and the potential harm it can cause to individuals’ reputations.

Police have urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious or objectionable content on social media to local authorities or the cyber cell.
