Minor Kidnapped and Declared Father at Age 6: Shocking Case in Haryana

Karnal, Haryana: A shocking case has emerged from Karnal, where a woman has been accused of kidnapping a minor boy and forcing him into a live-in relationship. Astonishingly, she allegedly manipulated official documents to declare the boy as the father of her two children.

According to police reports, the boy’s father, Rajbir Singh of Khedi Markanda village in Kurukshetra, stated that his 17-year-old son went missing in June 2019. A missing person report was filed with the police. Later, it was discovered that Meenakshi Devi, a resident of Bai village in Sonipat, had kidnapped the boy and was living with him in a live-in arrangement.

Fraudulent Documentation to Falsely Age the Boy

The woman reportedly tampered with the boy’s official documents, changing his date of birth from 2001 to 1991 to make him appear legally an adult by 2019. She also altered the “Family Identity Certificate” (Parivar Pehchan Patra) to show that the boy was voluntarily living with her and, shockingly, declared him as the father of her two children, born in 2007 and 2014—when the boy was only six and thirteen, respectively.

Rajbir Singh stated that the woman already had two children from her previous husband. Through falsified documents, she named his son as the father of these children. After police initially failed to take action, the family approached the Gharaunda Court, which ordered the filing of an FIR. The police have now registered the case and are actively searching for the accused woman.

This extraordinary case has left the local community and authorities stunned, highlighting the severe consequences of identity fraud and child exploitation.
