
Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh – In a shocking case of alleged abduction and forced religious conversion, Muzaffarnagar police have arrested Muddassir, accused of converting a minor Hindu girl to Islam at Ajmer Sharif Dargah, giving her the name Hayat. The accused was apprehended near a religious site on Rudrki Road and has been presented in court before being sent to jail.
Background of the Case
The case came to light on December 6, 2025, when the girl’s father, Sachin, filed a complaint with the Kotwali Nagar police, alleging that his daughter had been lured and abducted by a local youth named Muddassir from their village Mimlana. The girl had left home on December 5 to attend college but did not return by evening. Despite efforts by her family to locate her, they were forced to seek police assistance.
Allegations and Legal Action
According to the complaint, the minor was taken to Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan, where she was allegedly converted to Islam, made to recite the Kalma, and offered Namaz. There are also allegations of sexual assault against the accused.

The incident triggered tension in the area, with several organizations holding protests demanding the girl’s immediate recovery and the arrest of the accused.
Police Operation and Arrest
Acting on instructions from SSP Sanjay Verma, multiple police teams were deployed to track the accused and locate the girl. Using surveillance, technical evidence, and raids on potential hideouts, the minor girl was safely rescued from Madhya Pradesh on December 16. Following her recovery, police intensified the search for Muddassir.
Kotwali Inspector Bablu Singh Verma confirmed that the accused was arrested near a religious site on Rudrki Road. Police have issued a strict warning that such criminal activities will not be tolerated and justice will be served.
