Minor Arrested for Brutally Killing 41-Year-Old Man in Khargone

Khargone, Madhya Pradesh: The Khargone police have solved a shocking murder case in the Kasrawad area, arresting a minor who allegedly killed a 41-year-old man after being refused when attempting an unnatural act.

The victim, identified as Rakesh Chauhan (alias Raka, 41), a resident of Mutton Market, Kasrawad, was found dead in a secluded area near the local museum behind the Mutton Market. The body was discovered in a nude state with severe head and facial injuries, and blood-stained stones were found at the scene, indicating that the victim had been bludgeoned to death.

Timeline of the Incident

The crime occurred between the night of January 30 and 31, 2026. Police were alerted on January 31, and upon reaching the site, the forensic team collected evidence with the help of FSL, fingerprint analysis, cyber cell, and dog squad. CCTV footage from surrounding areas was reviewed, and witnesses were questioned for several days. It was revealed that the victim was mentally vulnerable.

Investigation Reveals Minor’s Involvement

During the probe, it emerged that a teenage boy from the Ramdev Bedi area had been drinking at the victim’s mother’s home on the evening of the incident. Later, he followed the victim. Interrogation revealed that the minor had attempted an unnatural act with the victim, who resisted and threatened to report him. In anger, the minor attacked the victim with stones, resulting in his death.

Rising Concerns Over Juvenile Sexual Crimes

The arrested minor has been presented before the Juvenile Justice Board, Khargone. Police reports indicate that the accused has prior cases related to theft and robbery. This incident highlights the growing concern over sexual crimes committed by minors in the region. Recent cases include:

  • In Barwani, a 16-year-old allegedly raped and killed his 7-year-old relative.
  • In Khargone, another 16-year-old reportedly raped a 60-year-old relative, leading to her death.

Police authorities continue to investigate the case and are monitoring patterns of juvenile crimes in the district.
