Merut Influencer Shadab Jakati Faces Serious Allegations from Jharkhand Woman

Meerut, UP: Shadab Jakati, the Meerut-based influencer known for reels like “10 rupaye wala biscuit kitne ka hai ji?”, is once again in the spotlight over serious allegations. A woman from Jharkhand has accused him of exploitation, unlawful confinement, assault, and threats to her life. The victim claims that Jakati’s actions under the guise of reels and motivational videos completely disrupted her life.

Victim’s Account
The complainant, Chandni, also known as Tabassum, stated that she moved from Jharkhand to Meerut in 2017 and married Sonu Prajapati from Muzaffarnagar. While her husband worked outside, she began creating content on social media to earn extra income. In February 2025, she reportedly came in contact with Shadab Jakati.

Initially, Jakati allegedly gained her trust by involving her in his reels. Over time, he is accused of luring her to his house, where she claims she was confined for about a year and forced to perform household tasks. When she resisted, she says Jakati threatened her and her family with serious harm.

Allegations Against Jakati and His Wife
Chandni also accused Jakati of using his influence and intimidation to silence her. She further alleged that Jakati’s wife, Sajia, physically assaulted her and verbally abused her. The abuse reportedly escalated on 15 January, when she was allegedly beaten severely.

Legal Action Underway
The victim, supported by her husband, has lodged a formal complaint (tahrir) with Inchauli Police Station. Station In-charge Jitendra Kumar Tripathi confirmed that the case is under investigation, and further legal action will follow based on the findings.

Pattern of Exploitation Alleged
Chandni claims that Jakati uses motivational or comedy content as a front for creating inappropriate videos and targeting women. She asserts that she is not the only victim and that other women have also been trapped in similar circumstances. Fear of social stigma has kept many from speaking out, but she says she will not back down.

Earlier, a man named Iram’s husband had also made serious allegations against Jakati, claiming that he held his wife captive for days and threatened her life.
