Mega Block at Gaya Junction for 45 Days: Several Trains Rerouted, Patna-Intercity and Ganga-Damodar Services Affected

Gaya, Bihar: A 45-day mega block has been imposed at Gaya Junction from February 5 to March 21 for the reconstruction of platforms 2 and 3, affecting the operations of several trains. The Patna-Gaya MEMU train has been canceled, while eight other trains will continue to run for passenger convenience. Passengers are advised to check updated timetables due to multiple route changes.

Platform Reconstruction and Passenger Measures

The Indian Railways has directed concerned departments to minimize passenger inconvenience during construction. Special monitoring has been ordered to ensure proper train operations and timely updates regarding platform changes to avoid confusion at the station.

Trains Rerouted During Mega Block

• Bhabhua-Patna Intercity, Ganga-Damodar Express, Buddha Purnima Express, Hatia-Purnia Court Express will operate via alternate routes.
• 14224 Buddha Purnima Express: Will run via Sasaram, Ara, Patna.
• 13329/13330 Ganga-Damodar Express: Will run via Fatua, Islampur, Natesar, Tilaiya, Paimar, Bandhua to Dhanbad.
• 18625/18626 Hatia-Purnia Court Express: Will run via Bandhuapal, Karnauti, Rajgir, Paimar, Tilaiya, Bandhua.
• 13243/13244 Bhabhua-Patna Intercity: Will run via Ara-Sasaram.
• 22409/22410 Gaya-Anand Vihar Gaya Weekly Express: Will run only up to DDÜ station from February 7 to March 21.
• 14259/14260 Gaya-Lucknow Ekta Express: Will run only from February 7 to March 21.

Alternate Operations via Chakand Station

Trains running between Gaya and Patna will temporarily operate from Chakand, approximately 10 km from Gaya. Road connectivity is available between Gaya and Chakand.

• 63248: 10:30 AM Gaya-Patna train will start from Chakand.
• 63250: 12:05 PM Gaya-Patna train will start from Chakand.
• 63295/63296 MEMU between Gaya-DDÜ-Gaya will also operate from Chakand.

Cancellations and Passenger Advisory

• 53214: 1:45 PM Gaya-Patna MEMU canceled.
• 53213: 4:30 PM Patna-Gaya MEMU canceled.
  These trains will remain canceled until March 21.
• Trains using down line platforms 2–3 will temporarily use platforms 6–7.

The Purulia Court-Hatia via Saharsa Up-Down Kosi Express will run on a rerouted path via Biharsharif, Rajgir, Tilaiya, Bandhua, Paimar, Kodarma to Hatia (Ranchi).

Passengers from Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, and Purnia may face delays. After the departure of the Rajdhanani Express at 12:20 PM, the next available train to Saharsa will be the Intercity from Rajendra Nagar the following morning at 7:20 AM, causing a waiting period of nearly 19 hours. Passengers can avoid this delay by taking the 5:10 PM Vande Bharat train from Danapur or Hajipur.
