Meerut, February 16, 2026: A shocking incident has come to light at a junior high school in Badagaon, Meerut, where students were reportedly punished by being made to stand in the humiliating “chicken” pose and beaten with sticks. A video of the incident, said to have been recorded on Saturday, has gone viral on social media, sparking outrage among parents and villagers.
The school, located in the Amaloli area of Phalavda police station jurisdiction, has come under scrutiny after the video surfaced. The footage reportedly shows the teacher using abusive language while physically disciplining several students.
Parents have identified the affected children as Armaan, Riyaaz, Faiz, Altaf, Aleena, Khushi, Shivam, Meet, Krishan, Hammad, Rizwan, and Sagar, all enrolled at the same school. They claim the principal and other staff administered harsh punishments without any valid reason.
When confronted, the teacher, identified as Govind, allegedly responded by threatening parents, saying, “Go ahead, file a complaint on the CM portal. If children misbehave, they will be beaten like this.” The video shows some children visibly frightened during the incident. Local residents immediately reported the matter to Dial 112, and police reached the school promptly, but the teachers had already left the premises.
Parents’ Response
Parents expressed their anger, stating that they send their children to school for education, not for being beaten. They warned that such incidents can have serious psychological effects on students. They have demanded a fair investigation and strict action against those responsible.
Police Statement
Phalavda Station Officer BK Tripathi stated that no written complaint has yet been received from any party. He added that once a formal complaint is lodged, appropriate legal action will be initiated, and the viral video will also be investigated.
