Mayor Mrs. Preeti Sanjeev Suri Conducts Extensive Inspection in Madhav Nagar

Katni Municipal Corporation Mayor Mrs. Preeti Sanjeev Suri on Thursday carried out a comprehensive inspection of various areas in Madhav Nagar, reviewing civic amenities and issuing necessary instructions to concerned officials to ensure improved public services.

During the inspection, the Mayor visited Hemu Kalani Ward, Acharya Kriplani Ward, and the Madhav Nagar Municipal Sub-Office, closely assessing road infrastructure, sanitation arrangements, and administrative facilities.

Inspection of Newly Constructed CC Road

Accompanied by local Councillor Suman Raju Makhija, Mayor Suri inspected a newly constructed 300-metre cement concrete (CC) road in Hemu Kalani Ward, built at a cost of approximately ₹17 lakh. She carefully examined the quality, leveling, and finishing of the road and instructed officials to maintain high construction standards in all development works.

Local residents expressed their appreciation to the Mayor and the Ward Councillor for the developmental initiatives undertaken in the area. Reaffirming her commitment, Mayor Suri stated that the Municipal Corporation remains dedicated to providing better basic amenities to all citizens.

Strict Instructions to Improve Sanitation

During her visit to Acharya Kriplani Ward, residents raised concerns regarding inadequate cleanliness and irregular sanitation services in the area. Taking serious note of the complaints, the Mayor issued strict directions to the Health Department to ensure immediate corrective action and regular cleaning of the ward.

Appealing to citizens for cooperation, Mayor Suri emphasized that cleanliness is a shared responsibility. She urged residents to dispose of waste only in designated dustbins and refrain from littering in open areas, stating that public participation is essential for the success of sanitation drives.

Surprise Inspection of Madhav Nagar Sub-Office

The Mayor also conducted a surprise inspection of the Madhav Nagar Municipal Sub-Office. During the visit, staff members informed her about several operational needs and urgent issues. Taking cognizance of the concerns, Mayor Suri directed officials to address the shortcomings promptly, ensuring smooth office functioning and improved service delivery to the public.

The inspection reflects the Mayor’s proactive approach toward strengthening civic infrastructure, enhancing administrative efficiency, and ensuring citizen-centric governance in Katni.
