Mau, UP: A tragic road accident shook Mau district on Wednesday morning after a Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus collided with an e-rickshaw in the city area. The impact of the crash was so severe that three passengers lost their lives on the spot, while five others sustained serious injuries.
According to initial information, the injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Local police reached the scene immediately, secured the area and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Eyewitnesses reported chaos at the spot as bystanders helped shift the injured to ambulances. Police said that all necessary legal formalities are being completed and further action will be taken based on the inquiry.
This tragic incident has once again highlighted the need for stricter road-safety measures in congested city zones.
