Mathura Police Conduct Major Raid in ‘Mini Jamtara’ Village, Over 10 Detained

Mathura: In a pre-dawn operation on Thursday, Mathura police carried out a major search in Devseras village, part of the Govardhan police jurisdiction, notorious for cybercrime activities. The village has earned the nickname ‘Mini Jamtara’ due to its reputation as a hub for online fraudsters.

Pre-Dawn Surprise Operation

The police operation involved a large force from multiple district police stations to clamp down on active cybercriminals. The sudden raid created panic in the village, with several residents attempting to flee. However, the police swiftly secured the area and conducted thorough searches at suspected hideouts.

To maintain secrecy, local police, the area officer, and additional SP were deliberately kept away during the operation to avoid any leaks or interference.

Arrests and Investigation

As a result of the raid, over a dozen individuals were taken into custody. These detainees are being interrogated for information related to cybercrime activities. Authorities believe that the individuals may have links to larger organized cybercrime networks operating beyond the region.

Police Stance

The operation signals Mathura police’s zero-tolerance policy toward organized crime, particularly cyber fraud, in the district. Officials have stated that further updates will be shared as the investigation progresses.
