Massive Fire Engulfs Swad Agro Industries Factory in Unnao, Crores of Goods Destroyed

Unnao, UP: In the early hours of Monday, a massive fire broke out at the Swad Agro Industries factory in Mohan, Unnao district, causing widespread panic and destruction. The blaze, which consumed crores worth of goods, sent plumes of smoke high into the sky, visible from a distance.

The factory, located in the Hasan Ganj police jurisdiction, produces mustard oil, pasta, macaroni, daliya, flour, besan, soy chunks, and other food products. Around 3 AM, a sudden fire erupted, quickly engulfing the entire facility in flames.

Smoke and Flames Trigger Panic

Thick smoke and towering flames prompted immediate action from the fire department. Firefighters reached the scene and, after strenuous efforts, managed to bring the blaze under control. Both finished products and raw materials stored inside the factory were destroyed.

Cause and Safety Measures

According to Station In-Charge Sharad Kumar, preliminary investigations indicate that a short circuit may have sparked the fire. He added that there were no issues regarding law and order at the site.

The incident highlights the vulnerability of industrial units to electrical hazards, emphasizing the need for stringent fire safety measures in factories across the region.
