Masked Woman Attacks Pregnant Neighbor Over Blouse Measurement, Theft Alleged in Gwalior Apartment

Gwalior, January 12, 2026: A shocking incident of assault and alleged theft occurred in a Gwalior apartment, where a masked woman attacked her pregnant neighbor under the pretext of taking blouse measurements. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

According to the victim, Diksha Sharma, the accused woman, wearing a face cover, entered her apartment on the upper floor of the Galaxy Apartments claiming she was there to take blouse measurements. She provided a reference name of a local acquaintance to gain the victim’s trust. Believing her, the pregnant woman invited her inside. After taking measurements and sitting briefly, the accused suddenly locked the gate and attacked Diksha, attempting to strangle her and also brandishing a knife. Diksha sustained injuries but managed to reach the balcony and raise an alarm. Neighbors rushed in, but the accused locked herself inside the bathroom until police arrived.

The victim further alleged that the accused stole gold and silver jewelry during the incident. According to Diksha, the accused frequently wore a face cover while at home and gave false accounts of disputes with her husband.

ASP Jayraj Kuber confirmed that police received a complaint regarding a dispute between the two women and that a thorough investigation is underway.
