Masked Robbers Attack Woman in Daylight, Steal Jewelry Worth Millions in Bijnor

Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh – February 7, 2026: In a shocking daytime robbery in Bijnor district, masked criminals entered a woman’s home and made off with jewelry worth several lakhs. The victim was injured after resisting the attackers.

The incident occurred on Saturday at Mandora Jat, when the victim, Shivani, wife of Amit, was alone at home as other family members had gone to the forest. According to police, two women and one man, all wearing masks, broke into the house. They first went upstairs and stole gold and silver jewelry valued at lakhs of rupees.

When Shivani confronted them as they came downstairs, the assailants attacked her with a knife, injuring her, and snatched her gold chain and earrings before fleeing. The police arrived promptly and began investigating the case.

The Special Operations Group (SOG), forensic, and field units inspected the scene. Based on suspicion, five beggars, including two women, from the nearby village of Madi were taken into custody for questioning.

Shivani’s father-in-law, Yogendra Singh, told police that the robbers had stolen nearly 25 tolas of gold jewelry from his elder son Sumit’s (stationed in Jammu & Kashmir) and younger son Amit’s rooms. The attackers also physically assaulted Shivani while snatching her jewelry.

Shivani added that a week ago, a man claiming to be a Union Bank official had visited her house and inquired about the family, including her husband Amit.

Police have stated that the investigation is ongoing and the culprits are expected to be identified soon.
