Married Woman Living With Lover in Delhi Murdered, Body Dumped on Yamuna Expressway in Agra

Agra: A sensational murder case has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra after the body of a woman, wrapped in a blanket, was found on the Yamuna Expressway last Friday. Police have identified the victim as Sonali, a resident of Mahoba district, who had reportedly been living with her lover Sunny in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area after separating from her husband.

Investigations revealed that Sunny allegedly murdered Sonali to get rid of her and later dumped her body near Saurai village on the Yamuna Expressway.

Body Found Wrapped in Blanket, Face Mutilated

The body was discovered near Milestone 148 on the expressway, creating panic in the area. Police said the woman’s hands and feet had mehendi on them, she was wearing toe rings, and had lipstick and kajal applied, indicating she had recently dressed up.

To hide her identity, the accused allegedly wrapped the body in a blanket, sealed it with black tape, and disfigured her face so that she could not be recognized.

Identification Made Using AI and Social Media

Police used modern technology and artificial intelligence tools to help identify the victim. Later, the woman’s photographs were circulated on social media, which led to confirmation of her identity as Sonali.

Officials further traced the case through the victim’s social media account, tracking IP address details that eventually led them to the accused.

Accused Arrested, Criminal Background Suspected

Following the investigation, police arrested Sunny on Sunday. According to police sources, Sunny is believed to have links with criminal gangs and was involved in suspicious activities. Due to his behaviour, landlords often forced him to vacate rented rooms frequently.

During interrogation, Sunny reportedly admitted that Sonali had become a “burden” for him and would not allow him to live freely or leave her. He allegedly killed her to end the relationship.

Police stated that Sunny claimed he carried out the murder alone.

Victim Had Left Husband and Moved to Delhi

Sonali belonged to Vijay Nagar in Mahoba and was married. Due to disputes with her husband, she reportedly left her marital home and moved to Delhi, where she started living with Sunny in a rented accommodation in Jahangirpuri.

When police reached the rented house in Jahangirpuri, they found it locked, further strengthening suspicion against Sunny.

Accused Brought to Agra for Interrogation

Police later traced Sunny through his brother Vijay and arrested him in Delhi. The accused has now been brought to Agra for further questioning.

DCP West Aditya Kumar confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and police are trying to determine the complete motive behind the murder and whether any other person was involved.

The case has once again highlighted rising crimes related to relationship disputes and has shocked both Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
