A POCSO court in Belagavi has sentenced a man to 30 years of rigorous imprisonment for repeatedly raping a minor girl, which led to her pregnancy and the birth of a child.
The convict, identified as 31-year-old Nagesh Kareppa Lamani, a resident of Kangrali (KH) village, was also ordered to pay a fine of ₹2 lakh. The court stipulated that failure to pay the fine would result in an additional one year of imprisonment.
