Man Murders Lover’s Child, Dumps Body in Abandoned Coal Mine in Shahdol

In a chilling incident from Dhanpuri, Shahdol, a man allegedly killed his lover’s seven-year-old son to remove obstacles to his relationship and disposed of the body in an abandoned coal mine. The accused, identified as Moishin, has been arrested by the police. Investigations revealed he had also planned to harm the woman’s other child.

Obsessive Love Turns Fatal
The accused, a resident of the old settlement in Dhanpuri, had been involved romantically with Nandni Kol, a local laborer. When Nandni refused to live with him due to her two young children, Moishin reportedly perceived the children as obstacles to their relationship.

Brutal Murder of Seven-Year-Old
Moishin lured Nandni’s seven-year-old son Hrithik Kol near Bagaiya Nala and strangled him to death in the abandoned coal mine. After committing the murder, he dumped the child’s body into the mine’s water.

Family Reports Missing Child
Hrithik’s family filed a missing person report at Dhanpuri police station, even offering a reward of ₹5,000 for information. Five days later, the child’s body was recovered floating in the coal mine, sending shockwaves through the community.

Plans to Harm Second Child
During police interrogation, Moishin confessed to the murder and revealed that he had intended to harm Nandni’s other child as well. The investigation is ongoing, and legal proceedings are being initiated against him.

Police Action
Dhanpuri SHO Khem Singh Pedro confirmed the arrest and stated that the case is being investigated from all angles to ensure justice.
