Ashoknagar, Jan 29, 2026: In a bizarre case of harassment, police in Ashoknagar have arrested a man for following and attempting to influence schoolgirls using spells, rituals, and perfume. The accused, identified as Vishal Raghuvanshi, allegedly tried to attract young girls through “tantra” practices, prompting parents to file a complaint.
According to police, the minor students reported being followed on their way home from school over the past three days. Acting swiftly, City Kotwali Station In-Charge Ravi Pratap Singh Chauhan, along with the parents, intercepted the suspect near the school and arrested him.
During a search, the police recovered books on rituals and a bottle of perfume from Raghuvanshi. Interrogation revealed that he would apply the perfume and recite mantras while following the girls, believing it would make them attracted to him. Further investigation confirmed that the accused had strong beliefs in such occult practices.
The case has sparked concern among parents and school authorities, highlighting the need for heightened vigilance around minor students. The accused has been sent to jail, and the police are continuing their investigation.
