Major Security Alert in Rajasthan: Truck Loaded With Detonators and Gelatin Sticks Seized in Rajsamand

Rajsamand: In a major breakthrough, Rajasthan police seized a pickup truck loaded with a large quantity of detonators, gelatin sticks, and other explosive materials in Rajsamand district. Two men have been arrested after they failed to produce mandatory documents required for transporting such explosive consignments. Officials confirmed that the materials were powerful enough to cause massive destruction had they detonated.

Pickup Truck Without Number Plate Intercepted

According to the information received, a patrol team from the Shrinathji Police Station spotted a suspicious pickup truck near Nathdwara.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shipra Rawat stated that the vehicle was coming from the Amet area and had no number plate, raising further suspicion.

Upon stopping and inspecting the truck, the police discovered it was fully loaded with detonators, gelatin sticks, and other explosive components. The driver and his associate failed to provide any valid permits or licenses required for carrying explosive substances.

Two Accused Arrested Under Explosives Act

The police detained both individuals and later formally arrested them under relevant sections of the Explosives Act. The accused have been identified as Bhagwat Singh and Himmat Singh.
Preliminary investigation suggests the explosives may have been intended for mining operations, but officials are not ruling out other possibilities.

Police Investigating Origin and Destination of Explosives

Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine:

  • Where the explosives were sourced from
  • Their intended destination
  • How such a large quantity was being transported without authorization

The pickup truck and the entire explosive consignment have been seized. Police teams are interrogating the arrested suspects to uncover any deeper links or potential threats.

The incident has raised serious security concerns in the region, prompting heightened vigilance across the district.
