Major Relief for MLC Akshay Pratap Singh as Delhi Police Files Closure Report in Forgery Case

Uttar Pradesh MLC Kunwar Akshay Pratap Singh alias Gopalji has received major relief in the forgery case filed by Bhanvi Singh, with the Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing (EOW) submitting a closure report before the MP–MLA court, citing lack of evidence.

The case dates back to February 2023, when Bhanvi Singh, wife of Kunda MLA Raja Bhaiya, lodged a complaint against Akshay Pratap Singh alleging forgery and fraud. After nearly three years of investigation, the EOW concluded that there was no sufficient criminal evidence to substantiate the allegations, leading to the filing of the closure report.

EOW Finds No Proof of Fraud

In its report, the EOW stated that the accusations of cheating and forgery against Akshay Pratap Singh could not be proven, as no concrete or corroborative evidence emerged during the investigation. On this basis, the agency recommended closure of the case, granting Akshay Pratap Singh significant legal relief.

Notably, during the controversy, Raja Bhaiya had publicly supported Akshay Pratap Singh, maintaining that the allegations were baseless.

Nephew Shivraj Singh Comes Out in Support

Following the development, Shivraj Pratap Singh, son of Raja Bhaiya and Bhanvi Singh, expressed his support for his uncle through a post on social media platform X.

He wrote that Akshay Pratap Singh had been completely cleared of false allegations, and criticised the tendency to spread rumours against public figures.

“It is very easy to spread rumours and create hatred against a well-known person. Media often presents only one side of the story. Such narratives spread quickly because people are curious about famous personalities. However, when the truth comes out, it rarely receives the same attention,” Shivraj said.

He added that after three years of investigation, the case against his uncle had concluded and not a single allegation was found to be true. “A criminal case deeply affects a person’s mind, life and dignity. Now that the case has ended, it is reassuring that my uncle has been fully vindicated,” he wrote.

Akshay Pratap Singh Attacks Bhanvi Singh

Reacting to the closure report, Akshay Pratap Singh launched a sharp attack on Bhanvi Singh through a lengthy post on X. He alleged that he was harassed for three years through a “false case” solely because he stood by Raja Bhaiya.

“Not just me, but everyone associated with Bhaiya or standing with him was targeted. After three years of detailed investigation, the agency has filed a closure report in court, clearly declaring me innocent. None of the allegations against me were found to be true,” he stated.

Statement on Loyalty to Raja Bhaiya

Earlier, Akshay Pratap Singh had made a public statement emphasising his loyalty to Raja Bhaiya, saying that although they were not born of the same mother, Raja Bhaiya was more than a real brother to him.

“Whatever I am today is because of him. I am ready to sacrifice everything at his signal. Such figures are rare in life. I will continue to serve as Raja Bhaiya’s soldier,” he had said.
