Agar Malwa: A major raid by the Narcotics Department at a nursery in the Agar-Malwa region caused a stir on Saturday. Officials suspect that the nursery was being used as a front for drug operations. The raid was carried out with high secrecy, and local police were deliberately kept away from the operation.
According to sources, a joint team from the Narcotics Department, arriving from Ujjain and nearby districts, reached Amla in five vehicles and surrounded Teerth Nursery from all sides. Tight security measures were in place, and media personnel and other outsiders were not allowed near the premises. Preliminary reports suggest that a substantial quantity of narcotic substances may have been seized.
Local Police Excluded
The Narcotics Department specifically excluded local police from the raid, reportedly to prevent any leaks of sensitive information. The operation was conducted based on high-level intelligence inputs, and officers emphasized the confidential nature of the case.
Officials Remain Tight-Lipped
Despite the extensive raid, officials at the scene declined to provide any details. The lead officers described the matter as highly sensitive and stated that full disclosure regarding the seizure and the individuals involved would only be possible once senior authorities arrive on site. Meanwhile, a thorough search of the nursery is ongoing.
The operation highlights the department’s efforts to target illegal drug networks while maintaining strict confidentiality to prevent tipping off suspects.
