Major Freight Train Accident Averted at Maksi Station, Madhya Pradesh

Shajapur (Madhya Pradesh): A major train accident was narrowly avoided near Maksi railway station on Saturday when a rail track broke, causing a freight train traveling from Ujjain to Guna to derail. Several train coaches went off the track, splitting the train into two sections. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

According to railway officials, the accident occurred when a rail track near Maksi station fractured, destabilizing the train. The incident caused immediate disruption of rail traffic in both directions. Teams from the railway department rushed to the site to assess the situation and begin relief and repair work.

Khemraj Meena, PRO of the railway department, stated that a team of technical experts has been dispatched from Ujjain to investigate the cause of the accident. Mukesh Jain of the Maksi station management confirmed that preliminary observations suggest a track failure, but a detailed technical report is awaited for confirmation.

Railway authorities managed the situation promptly, controlling traffic and initiating repair work. Train services, which were temporarily halted, are being gradually restored. The incident created a tense atmosphere at the station, but the swift response by railway staff ensured that the derailment did not result in any loss of life.
