Major Action in Cooperative Department: Four Officials Suspended in Mahoba and Deoria; What Minister JPS Rathore Said

Lucknow: In a decisive move under its zero-tolerance policy against corruption, the Uttar Pradesh government has suspended four officials of the Cooperative Department. The action was taken after allegations of irregularities, negligence and misconduct surfaced from multiple districts.

According to officials, several complaints had been received from farmers and public representatives regarding malpractice in cooperative operations. Acting on the instructions of Cooperative Minister JPS Rathore, the state government initiated strict disciplinary action to ensure transparency within the cooperative system.

Officials Suspended for Irregularities

Following inquiries into the complaints, the Cooperative Department and the UP Cooperative Federation Ltd. (PCF) suspended four officials with immediate effect.

Suspended Officials:

From Mahoba:

  • Vinay Kumar Tiwari, Assistant Commissioner & Assistant Registrar
  • Rajjan Lal, District Manager, PCF Mahoba

From Deoria:

  • Ramesh Tripathi, Assistant Commissioner & Assistant Registrar
  • Virendra Yadav, District Manager, PCF Deoria

The government has also initiated full disciplinary proceedings against all four officers.

Minister Rathore’s Strong Message

Cooperative Minister JPS Rathore stated that this action sends a clear and uncompromising message—any officer working against the interests of farmers and the public will not be spared.

He emphasised that the state government is committed to strictly enforcing its zero-tolerance policy on corruption. Any irregularity or negligence in cooperative services will invite immediate and severe action.

Ensuring Transparent Fertilizer Distribution

Minister Rathore further reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that all farmers in Uttar Pradesh receive fertilizers at fair prices through cooperative societies in a transparent and hassle-free manner.

He added that the Cooperative Department is continuously working to strengthen the fertilizer distribution system and make it completely corruption-free.
