Ranchi:** A major accident was narrowly avoided on Thursday on Ratu Road in Ranchi when a school bus driver suddenly lost consciousness while driving. The uncontrolled bus collided with an electric pole, damaging several two-wheelers parked along the road. Fortunately, all school children on board, as well as pedestrians nearby, escaped unharmed.
Uncontrolled Bus Causes Chaos
According to local residents, the bus swerved sharply, hitting multiple two-wheelers before coming to a halt after striking the pole. The incident occurred while the bus was carrying several schoolchildren. Passersby and locals immediately assisted the unconscious driver, removing him from the bus and sending him to the hospital for treatment.
Police Contain the Situation
The Sukhdev Nagar police team, along with traffic authorities, rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control. Sukhdev Nagar SHO Ashok Kumar confirmed that the incident occurred due to the driver fainting. “Thankfully, no children were injured. The driver is undergoing medical evaluation, after which further action will be taken,” he stated.
Parents Rush to the Scene
Upon receiving the news, parents of the children quickly arrived at the location and safely took their children home, relieved that the accident did not result in any injuries.
