Mahoba Shock: Nephew Kills Uncle Over Illicit Affair With Aunt; Police Crack Case After 20 Days

In a sensational revelation from Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba district, police have uncovered a murder conspiracy driven by an illicit love affair, in which a man was allegedly killed by his own nephew with the help of the victim’s wife. The crime came to light nearly 20 days after the body was recovered, following an intensive police investigation.

The accused nephew and aunt (mami) have been arrested along with the murder weapons and sent to jail.

Body Found in Hills, Death Initially Suspected as Natural

The case pertains to Karbi police station area, where the body of 44-year-old Shyam Sundar Saini, a resident of Shastri Nagar, Karbi town, was found in the hills on December 11. At the time, it was believed that he may have died due to cold exposure and that wild animals had mutilated the body.

However, police and family members were not convinced by this theory, prompting a deeper probe.

Illicit Relationship and Murder Plot

According to Station House Officer Satvendra Singh Bhadoria, investigations revealed that Shyam Sundar’s wife Gomti was having an illicit relationship with her nephew Sujeet Kumar alias Lallu Saini, a resident of Gaurikalan, Jaspura (Banda district).

“The woman wanted to marry her nephew. Her husband became an obstacle in their relationship. When the husband caught them in a suspicious situation, they conspired to eliminate him,” the SHO said.

The accused allegedly carried out the murder and attempted to disguise it as a natural death.

Son Helps Police Uncover the Truth

A crucial breakthrough came when the couple’s son, Krishna Kumar, grew suspicious and determined to uncover the truth behind his father’s death. He reportedly gained his mother’s confidence by assuring her that he supported her marriage plans.

Trusting her son, Gomti confessed to the crime, after which the police were alerted and swift action followed.

Accused Arrested, Weapons Recovered

Police arrested both Gomti and Sujeet Kumar and recovered the knife and brick used in the murder. Gomti, a mother of three, allegedly became so consumed by the illicit relationship that she conspired to kill her husband, destroying her own family in the process.

The accused, who allegedly dreamed of starting a new life together, are now behind bars.

Case Sparks Public Outrage

The incident has sent shockwaves across the region and remains a topic of intense discussion in Mahoba. Police officials have confirmed that strong evidence has been collected, and the case will be pursued rigorously in court.

The chilling episode highlights how unchecked illicit relationships and betrayal within families can lead to horrific crimes, leaving irreversible scars on those left behind.
