Who is Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, Owner of Al Falah University? From Doubling Money in Mahu to Establishing a University 773 km Away

Indore: In the wake of the Delhi blasts, the spotlight is on Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, owner of Al Falah University. Originally from Mahu, Madhya Pradesh, Siddiqui has faced allegations of financial fraud, prompting him to leave Mahu and relocate. Authorities are now probing possible links between the university and the terror conspiracy.

From Mahu to Faridabad
Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui hails from Mahu, a town near Indore that also hosts a significant army camp. He reportedly left Mahu over 25 years ago after allegedly defrauding investors through a company that promised to double their money but never did. Under pressure from investors, Siddiqui vanished overnight and eventually settled in Faridabad, around 773 km from Mahu, where he established his educational ventures.

Educational Ventures
Siddiqui first opened an engineering college in Faridabad in 1997. Later, he founded Al Falah University, which received recognition for medical education in 2019, admitting its first batch of MBBS students the same year. By 2024, the university produced its first batch of doctors. The institution also runs a 650-bed hospital along with other affiliated colleges.

Controversies and Legal Issues
Before founding the university, Siddiqui ran an investment company in Mahu named Al Falah Investment, promising high returns to local investors. Allegedly, these returns were never paid, and complaints were lodged against him and even his brother. This financial controversy forced him to leave his hometown.

Current Investigations
Following the Delhi blasts, authorities are investigating links between the incident and individuals associated with Al Falah University. Police are also questioning Siddiqui’s past connections in Mahu as part of the ongoing probe.
