The mysterious death of model Khushbu Ahirwar has taken several shocking turns. Police have now registered a case of Love Jihad and invoked sections of the SC-ST Act against her boyfriend, Kasim, who allegedly posed as a Hindu named Rahul to befriend and live with Khushbu.
According to Khushbu’s sisters, Kasim deceived her by concealing his real identity and later pressured her to convert to Islam. They also alleged that he physically assaulted her. The family has accused him of exploiting Khushbu emotionally and financially, as she was the sole breadwinner of her family. Her father and brother had already passed away, leaving her mother and sisters dependent on her.
Police Investigation and Autopsy Findings
As per the short post-mortem report, Khushbu died due to internal bleeding, and it was revealed that she was pregnant at the time of her death. Police sources confirmed that she and Kasim had been living together for nearly one and a half years in a live-in relationship.
Following her sisters’ complaint, police have registered a Zero FIR against Kasim under Love Jihad, SC-ST Act, and assault charges. Further investigation is underway.
Signs of Suicide Attempt
Police also found cut marks on Khushbu’s wrist, suggesting that she may have attempted suicide before her death. However, investigators have not ruled out foul play, given the serious allegations made by her family.
Kasim’s Statement: “The Child Was Mine”
During interrogation, Kasim admitted that the baby Khushbu was carrying was his. He claimed that they were planning to get married soon. Kasim told the police that he had taken Khushbu from Bhopal to Ujjain to introduce her to his family. On their way back, Khushbu’s health suddenly deteriorated, leading to her tragic death.
The case has stirred widespread outrage on social media and reignited debates around religious deception, live-in relationships, and women’s safety.
