
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a major weather shift as western disturbances bring rain, hail, and strong winds across the state. Over 30 districts, including Bhopal, Ujjain, Gwalior, Indore, Shajapur, and Dhar, reported rainfall, while some areas experienced hailstorms. This sudden change has brought a return of cold conditions to several regions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that similar weather is expected in 17 districts on Friday, 20 February.
Districts Likely to Experience Rain and Storms
According to the IMD, rainfall or thunderstorms may occur in the following districts on Friday: Vidisha, Raisen, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, and Maihar.
The IMD has also issued yellow alerts for strong winds and storms in: Vidisha, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Maihar, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, and Niwari.
Bhopal Weather Forecast
For the state capital Bhopal, no major weather alerts have been issued. The day is expected to remain partly cloudy, with light haze in the atmosphere. Wind speeds will hover around 20 km/h. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 26°C, while nighttime temperatures may drop to 14°C.
