Lucknow’s ‘Joker Chaiwala’ Arrested for Flashy Car with Red-Blue Lights

Lucknow, 29 November 2025: A video of a young man arriving in a white car adorned with illegal red and blue lights, wearing a Joker mask and a maroon three-piece suit, went viral on social media, prompting police action in Lucknow’s Ghantaghar area.

The man has been identified as 21-year-old Arish Kidwai, popularly known as the “Joker Chaiwala.” He runs a tea stall in the Ghantaghar locality, often dressing in a Joker costume to entertain customers. The viral video showed him stepping out of the car and being welcomed with flower garlands by onlookers, creating a misleading impression of grandeur.

Police Seize Car and Lights
Upon verification, the police discovered that the flashy red-blue lights on the Hyundai Verna were illegal. The vehicle, the lights, and a police cap (P-Cap) found with him were seized by the authorities. Arish Kidwai has been arrested for using unauthorized equipment to create a showy display, which led to public attention and police intervention.
