
Lucknow: Joy and excitement were visible on the faces of applicants as the lottery for the Atal Nagar Residential Scheme was held for 2 BHK flats. The scheme offers both 1 BHK and 2 BHK apartments to eligible applicants.
On Friday, the lottery for 634 two-bedroom flats at Atal Nagar, Devpur Para, under the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), was conducted at the Mercury Hall of the Indira Gandhi Institute. Applicants themselves drew the lottery slips, ensuring complete transparency. So far, a total of 2,299 beneficiaries have been allotted flats. On Thursday, 1,665 one-bedroom units were allotted.
Affordable Housing with Modern Amenities
According to LDA’s Additional Secretary C.P. Tripathi, the Atal Nagar scheme offers apartments ranging from 30 sq.m. to 54.95 sq.m., with prices starting at ₹9.82 lakh. The affordable housing project is equipped with modern facilities including lifts, clean water and electricity supply, power backup, security arrangements, green and kids’ play areas, and dedicated parking.
Applicants Celebrate Their New Homes
Prince Kumar Sharma, who attended the lottery with his wife, expressed his delight at being allotted a flat. “No happiness can be greater than receiving a home through this scheme,” he said. Other successful applicants, including Anju Singh, Shobhit Srivastava, Shiv Mishra, Lucky Verma, and Sudhanshu Gupta, also thanked LDA for making their dream of owning a home a reality.
Transparent Lottery Process
The online registration for Atal Nagar apartments ran from October 4 to December 2, 2025, attracting a total of 5,781 applicants. The first day of the lottery on Thursday saw the allotment of 1,665 one-bedroom flats, while Friday’s draw distributed 634 two-bedroom flats. The transparent lottery was conducted on an open stage, with applicants drawing the slips themselves, ensuring fairness in the allotment process.
