Lucknow, February 21, 2026: In a major enforcement drive against unauthorized constructions, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) carried out extensive demolition operations across multiple areas of the state capital on Friday. The authority demolished illegal plotting spread over approximately 40 bighas of land and sealed a three-storey commercial complex in Hazratganj.

40 Bighas of Illegal Plotting Cleared

According to officials, eight illegal plotting projects being developed without approved layouts were razed in Lucknow. The action was carried out in Gosaiinganj, Kakori, and Saerpur areas.

Ravi Nandan Singh, Zonal Officer of Enforcement Zone-2, stated that in village Kasimpur Biruha near Chand Sarai Crossing in Gosaiinganj, an unauthorized colony was being developed across nearly 10 bighas without layout approval. The illegal development, allegedly undertaken by Rajendra Srivastava and others, was demolished.

Three-Storey Commercial Complex Sealed

In a separate action, LDA sealed an under-construction three-storey commercial complex in Hazratganj’s Dali Bagh area on Butler Road.

Prabhakar Singh, Zonal Officer of Enforcement Zone-6, informed that Ankit Sharma and others were constructing the commercial building on a 300-square-meter plot without necessary approvals. Following court orders, the enforcement team sealed the premises.

Strict Message Against Unauthorized Development

The large-scale drive reflects LDA’s intensified campaign against illegal land development and unauthorized commercial constructions in the city. Officials reiterated that any construction carried out without approved layout plans or necessary permissions will face strict legal action.

The authority has also warned developers and landowners to comply with urban planning regulations to avoid similar action in the future.
