Kushinagar BJP MLA PN Pathak Emphasizes Brahmin Role in Social Unity, Not Division

Kushinagar, UP: In the midst of political chatter surrounding a recent gathering of Brahmin BJP MLAs, Kushinagar MLA PN Pathak has clarified the intent behind such meetings, highlighting that the Brahmin community’s role is to unite society rather than create divisions.

The meeting, held at PN Pathak’s residence during the state assembly session, had drawn attention and criticism from newly appointed BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary, who warned against any activities that could be perceived as caste-based consolidation. The remarks ignited political debate within the party and among NDA allies.

PN Pathak’s Statement
Addressing the issue via a social media post on X, PN Pathak stated that in Sanatan traditions, Brahmins are seen as guides, thinkers, and stabilizers of society. He emphasized, “Wherever Brahmins gather, knowledge, wisdom, and contemplation flourish, strengthening Hindu identity. Their dharma is to connect society, not divide it.”

Pathak’s comments come amid speculation that the post is a response to warnings from Pankaj Chaudhary and reflect ongoing discussions within the BJP regarding social representation and party unity.

Political Context
The Brahmin MLA meeting had taken place at Pathak’s residence, with media coverage of the event fueling political discourse in the state. While Pathak reiterated his loyalty to the party, Chaudhary had earlier stressed the importance of discipline, stating that party lines take precedence and that such gatherings should not be misconstrued as promoting factionalism.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya had also commented on the matter, and Pathak’s post further reinforced that the assembly was intended for dialogue and unity, not for creating divisions or any form of political group formation.
