Alwar, Rajasthan: A historic gathering of the Kshatriya community took place on Sunday in Khedli, Alwar, as thousands of members from ten districts staged a powerful show of unity and strength. Under the banner of the Social Unity Forum, the community demanded an increase in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) reservation from 10% to 20% and called for fair political representation. A memorandum highlighting these demands was submitted to local authorities following a disciplined and spirited march.
Focus on Reservation and Representation
The main agenda of the conference was to push for doubling the EWS reservation, ensuring better access to education and employment opportunities for economically disadvantaged youth. Leaders from 39 assembly constituencies, including Alwar, Bharatpur, Jaipur, and the Shekhawati belt, urged political parties to provide proportional representation for the community. Speakers emphasized that holistic development of the Kshatriya society could only be achieved through education and self-employment initiatives.
March and Memorandum Submission
Following the conference, thousands of participants marched on foot to the Khedli Sub-Tehsil office. The delegation submitted a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister, urging immediate consideration of the demands and warning that continued neglect of the community’s interests in education and employment would no longer be tolerated. The march remained orderly and energetic throughout.
Message from Chief Guest
Meghraj Singh Royal, President of the United Global Peace Foundation and the event’s chief guest, addressed the assembly, urging the community to focus not only on making demands but also on empowering themselves. He called on youth to spearhead a “revolution in education.” The conference made it clear that the Kshatriya community will assert its presence in upcoming elections and policy decisions and will not tolerate being ignored.
