Kia Car Flips in Ghaziabad; Judge’s Son Escapes with Minor Injuries

In a late-night accident in Ghaziabad’s Vijayanagar area, a Kia car lost control, hit a divider, and overturned. The car was being driven by the son of a judge posted in Varanasi, though fortunately, he sustained only minor injuries.

Accident Details
The incident occurred around 3 AM on Tuesday on the service road of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway near the Jal Nigam office in Siddharth Vihar. The high-speed vehicle collided with a jersey barrier and flipped in the middle of the road. A sticker on the car indicated “Judge.”

According to Vijayanagar police, the car is registered in the name of Saty Nand Upadhyay, with an address at Officer City, Raj Nagar Extension. The investigation revealed that the driver is the son of a judicial officer stationed in Varanasi, whose family resides in Ghaziabad. He was alone in the car at the time and, after sustaining minor scratches, administered first aid to himself.

How the Accident Happened
The driver was heading toward Vijayanagar via the service lane from Delhi when he lost control while attempting to avoid an oncoming vehicle. The collision with the divider was so strong that the car overturned completely.

Traffic Disruption
The overturned car caused a jam as early morning pedestrians gathered around the scene. Police arrived promptly and, with the help of a crane, removed the damaged vehicle from the road, restoring normal traffic flow.
