Khatu Shyam Falgun Mela: Good News for Devotees, Railways to Run Special Trains

Sikar (Rajasthan): Devotees planning to visit Khatu Shyam Ji during the famous Falgun Mela, scheduled from 21 to 28 February, have received a major relief. Keeping in mind the heavy rush expected during the fair, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of two pairs of special unreserved trains to ensure smooth travel for pilgrims.

Railway officials said that every year, the Falgun Mela witnesses a huge influx of devotees from Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, and other states. To manage the extra passenger load and provide convenience, special arrangements have been made this year as well.

Two Pairs of Special Trains Announced

According to railway authorities, the decision has been taken in view of the increasing passenger traffic during the fair. These trains will operate on major routes connecting Phulera, Kurukshetra, and Delhi, offering much-needed support to travelers.

Kurukshetra–Phulera Special Train

The first special train will run between Kurukshetra and Phulera from 23 February to 28 February. It will depart from Kurukshetra at 6:00 PM daily.

Similarly, the return service from Phulera to Kurukshetra will operate from 24 February to 1 March, departing Phulera at 6:00 PM.

This will provide significant relief to devotees traveling from Haryana and nearby regions.

Phulera–Delhi Sarai Rohilla Special Train

In addition, the Railways has also announced a special train between Phulera and Delhi Sarai Rohilla. This service will run in both directions from 24 February to 1 March.

Railway officials believe this will greatly benefit pilgrims traveling from Delhi and surrounding NCR areas, making the journey more direct and comfortable.

Special Trains for Holi as Well

Along with the Falgun Mela arrangements, the Railways has also started preparations for the upcoming Holi festival. Officials informed that more than 1400 Holi special trains will run across the country.

Out of these, 71 special trains will be operated under the North Western Railway Zone, which is expected to provide major convenience to passengers during the festive rush.

Railway authorities have appealed to passengers to confirm train timings and availability before travel and follow safety guidelines to ensure a smooth journey.
