Khan Sir Explains ‘Cyclothon’, Extends Wishes to CISF for 6,500-km Coastal Campaign

Patna: Popular educator Khan Sir, also known as Faizal Khan of Patna, has extended his wishes to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for its upcoming nationwide campaign, “Vande Mataram CISF Coastal Cyclothon–2026.” The large-scale awareness ride is scheduled to begin on February 28.

In a video message, Khan Sir explained the concept of a cyclothon and highlighted the importance of the CISF initiative. He said the campaign would cover more than 6,500 kilometres across India’s coastal belt and aims to promote awareness about maritime security.

Describing the difference between a marathon and a cyclothon, he said a marathon refers to a long-distance run on foot, whereas a cyclothon is an extended journey undertaken on bicycles. He noted that the CISF, which protects major airports, railway stations and industrial hubs across the country, is organising the ride to strengthen awareness about coastal security.

Khan Sir stressed that coastal regions remain sensitive from a security perspective and require constant vigilance. He said the campaign seeks to educate citizens about the importance of safeguarding India’s coastline and preventing threats such as smuggling and infiltration.

According to him, the cyclothon will begin simultaneously from Gujarat and West Bengal, with both routes converging at Kanyakumari. Multiple CISF battalions are expected to participate in the event. He expressed confidence that the force would conduct the campaign successfully and further enhance public awareness about national security.

The CISF later shared Khan Sir’s video on social media platform X and thanked him for his support. In its message, the force described the cyclothon as a meaningful national initiative aimed at promoting coastal security awareness and strengthening national unity.

Khan Sir is a well-known teacher and YouTuber based in Patna. He runs the Khan GS Research Centre, a coaching institute that prepares students for competitive examinations, and has a large following among students across India.
