
Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Several areas in Kanpur will experience a power outage for approximately seven hours today, affecting around 50,000 households. According to KESCO, the shutdown is necessary to carry out maintenance work, including cable shifting, testing of tripping systems, pole replacement, and tree trimming.
Scheduled Power Cuts by Area:
- Ahirwan and HAL (Chakeri Police Station area): 10 AM to 5 PM. Repairs include fixing dilapidated poles and hanging wires that have not been maintained for a long time.
- Govind Nagar (C, K, and D Blocks): 11 AM to 5:30 PM. Maintenance and safety checks will be conducted.
- Dehli Sujanpur: 12 PM to 3 PM. Cable shifting work will be carried out.
- Pirod, Acharya Nagar, GT Road, Bhannapurwa, Lelin Park: 12 PM to 3 PM. Tree trimming and wire repairs in these densely populated areas.
- Singpur and Surrounding Areas (Machharia Garhi, Water Park, Telephone Exchange, Bauddh Nagar, Sujatganj): 11 AM to 5 PM.
- Pokharpur D Block, Shyam Nagar: 11 AM to 3 PM.
- Khalasi Line, Tilak Nagar, Nawabganj, Vishnupuri: 11 AM to 3 PM.
- Vikas Nagar: 11 AM to 4 PM.
KESCO has urged residents to make necessary arrangements and apologized for the inconvenience, stating that these measures are essential to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the city.
