149 Young Girls Married So Far
Neetu Mausi’s extraordinary contribution has gained widespread recognition in her community. Over the past decade and a half, she has helped 149 girls from both Hindu and Muslim communities get married, providing essential financial support and household items. Her dedication has earned her respect and admiration, making her an inspirational figure in the region.
Support Beyond Financial Assistance
Mausi invests most of her personal income into these charitable acts. Each year, she receives dozens of requests from families, carefully reviews them, and bears the marriage expenses for eligible candidates. She provides necessities such as fridges, beds, utensils, and other household items. Additionally, she gifts five tolas of gold or silver jewelry to the brides, ensuring their new beginning is dignified and happy.
No Discrimination, Pure Humanity
Neetu Mausi’s work emphasizes equality and compassion. She celebrates the traditions of each community, conducting Hindu weddings and Muslim nikahs according to customary practices. This year alone, she has already arranged the marriages of nine girls, continuing her relentless mission of social service.
