Junior Assistant’s House Raided: ₹1.5 Crore in Gold and Cash Found

Bikaner: In a major crackdown, Rajasthan’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) seized gold worth ₹1.5 crore from the house of a Junior Assistant in the Panchayati Raj Department. The raid also uncovered silver jewelry, cash totaling ₹75 lakh, four luxurious houses, and expensive vehicles owned by the accused, Shubhkaran Parihar.

Multi-Location Raids
The ACB conducted coordinated raids at five locations connected to Parihar, including three in Bikaner city—Jayanarayan Vyas Colony, in front of Vaishnodham, and Mateshwari Enclave on Jaipur Road—as well as his ancestral village Punasar and his workplace in Kanasar Gram Panchayat, Bap, Phalodi district.

Investigation Triggered by Confidential Tip-Off
The action followed a confidential complaint alleging that Parihar had amassed wealth far beyond his legitimate salary. ACB investigations revealed that he had acquired assets approximately 938% higher than his declared income. Based on these findings, a formal case was registered, and detailed investigation is underway.

Seizures and Assets
During the searches, the ACB recovered:

  • ₹75 lakh in cash from Mateshwari Enclave
  • Over 1 kilogram of gold and nearly 2 kilograms of silver from city and village locations
  • Four opulent houses, including three in Bikaner city and one in Punasar village
  • Approximately 17 hectares of agricultural land
  • Luxury cars and motorcycles

Supervised by Senior Officials
The operation was conducted under the supervision of ACB Deputy Inspector General Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav, with teams led by Additional Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar and Ashish Kumar. Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava oversaw the ongoing searches across multiple locations. The ACB has confirmed that a detailed investigation into the disproportionate assets case will continue.

Govind Gupta, Director General of ACB, stated, “The verification revealed that the accused had accumulated 938% more assets than his lawful income. A comprehensive investigation is in progress.”
