
Ranchi, Jharkhand: Jharkhand is reeling from two separate shocking incidents across Dumka and Godda districts, spreading fear and alarm among locals.
Dumka: 17-Year-Old Girl Beheaded
In Dumka district, authorities discovered the beheaded body of a 17-year-old girl from Dighi village, Sariahat police station area. The grisly discovery was made on Thursday, with the severed head found a short distance from the body.
Police Investigation:
Police Station In-Charge Rajendra Kumar stated that the preliminary investigation suggests a well-planned murder, possibly committed by someone close to the victim. The victim’s father had earlier filed a complaint on November 4, accusing two youths of allegedly attempting to elope with his daughter. Post-mortem examinations have been conducted, and the investigation is ongoing.
Godda: Missing Woman Found Dead in Well
Meanwhile, in Godda district, the body of a 22-year-old woman, identified as Kajal Kumari from Bhagalpur, Bihar, was recovered from a well in Bagjori village, Mahagama police station area. The woman had been reported missing since Wednesday following a dispute with her husband.
Police Statement:
Sub-Divisional Police Officer Chandrashekhar Azad confirmed that the woman’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination. A thorough investigation into the circumstances of her death has been initiated.
These two brutal incidents have shaken communities across Jharkhand, highlighting growing concerns over safety and law enforcement in the region.
