
Ranchi: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jharkhand has initiated preparations for the Special Summary Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in the state. Ahead of the SIR, CEO K. Ravi Kumar has directed the training of Booth Level Agents-2 (BLA-2) appointed by recognized political parties. All District Election Officers (DEOs) have been formally informed through official letters.
Mandatory Training for Party-Nominated Agents
The CEO has emphasized the preparation of electoral rolls in light of the upcoming SIR program. To enhance transparency and strengthen the credibility of the revision and correction processes, recognized political parties’ cooperation has been sought. Accordingly, BLA-2 agents appointed by political parties will be mandatorily trained on various activities related to the comprehensive voter list revision.
BLA-1 Agents Can Also Participate
K. Ravi Kumar stated that the training for BLA-2 agents will be conducted by the Electoral Registration Officer or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer. All BLA-2 agents are required to attend this training, and BLA-1 agents who wish to participate may also be included.
Training Schedule and Resources
The CEO has instructed all district election officers to ensure the completion of BLA-2 training from January 28 to February 6, 2026. PowerPoint presentations and detailed training modules will be provided at the state level for all districts to facilitate smooth execution of the program.
