Ranchi, 28 Nov 2025: Marking the completion of the first year of his second term, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren distributed appointment letters to 8,792 newly recruited candidates across various state departments. The appointments cover positions including Sub-Collectors, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Jail Superintendents, Jharkhand Education Service officers, District Samadesh, Labor Supervisors, Probation Officers, Product Inspectors, Dentists, Assistant Teachers, and Pest Controllers.
Targeting Opposition and Fake News
Addressing the ceremony, CM Soren criticized the BJP and other opposition parties for creating unnecessary legal hurdles and spreading false news following every recruitment examination. He referred to the recent Jharkhand State Employee Selection Commission’s CGL exam, which had been temporarily stayed by the High Court. According to Soren, some “coaching gangs” circulated rumors of paper leaks and other irregularities, but many of those involved are now in jail, as none of the alleged wrongdoing could be substantiated.
Empowering Youth and Strengthening Government
Soren emphasized that the government stands firmly with the youth of the state, and these new appointees will now play a crucial role in shaping Jharkhand’s future. He stated that the distribution of appointment letters has strengthened the trust of at least 50,000 people in the state government. This year alone, 16,000 youth were provided government jobs, and 8,000 others found employment in the private sector.
Commitment to Integrity and Transparency
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to honesty, transparency, and meritocracy in recruitment, despite opposition attempts to derail the process. He urged the newly appointed officials to mentor at least one young person in every posting location, thereby contributing to the long-term development of the state.
