JDU Raises Alarm Over RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav’s Alleged Foreign Trip With History-Sheeted Individuals

Patna: The Janata Dal (United) has raised serious concerns regarding the alleged foreign travel of Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, claiming he may have been accompanied by individuals with criminal backgrounds. In a strongly-worded letter to Bihar Director General of Police (DGP), JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar highlighted the matter, citing media reports and demanding strict scrutiny.

The letter specifically mentions Rameez Nemat Khan, a history-sheeter from Uttar Pradesh’s Shravasti district (formerly Balrampur). According to Neeraj Kumar, Rameez comes from a politically connected family—his father-in-law, Rizwan Zaheer Khan, was twice an MP and once an MLA with the Samajwadi Party and is currently serving a prison sentence in a serious murder case. Rameez’s wife, Zeba Rizwan, even contested elections while incarcerated.

Potential Threat From Wanted Criminals
The JDU spokesperson also raised concerns about Deva Gupta, reportedly accompanying Tejashwi Yadav on the trip. Deva Gupta is said to be a potential RJD candidate from Motihari Sadar in the 2025 Assembly elections. According to the letter, he is listed among 100 most-wanted criminals by the East Champaran police, carrying a reward of ₹1 lakh. He allegedly has 28 serious cases registered against him, including murder, extortion, and land grabbing.

Demand for Strict Surveillance
Neeraj Kumar urged the Bihar DGP to treat the matter with utmost seriousness and to closely monitor the activities of these individuals during the foreign trip, citing potential risks to law and order. The JDU has called for stringent oversight to ensure that no criminal elements exploit such travel opportunities.
