Srinagar: In a significant development in the Delhi Red Fort blast investigation, police have arrested Dr. Tajammul Ahmed Malik from Srinagar. Malik, a resident of Kulgam, is employed at SHMS Hospital. He was apprehended from Karan Singh Nagar and is now in police custody for questioning.
Authorities are probing Malik’s possible links to the network behind the attack. Earlier on Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir police had detained another doctor, Sajjad Ahmed Malla, from Pulwama. Malla is reported to be a close associate of the primary suspect, Dr. Mohammad Umar, who is considered a key conspirator in the case.
Police officials confirmed that further interrogation of both suspects is underway to uncover additional connections and the full scope of the conspiracy. Investigators are also reviewing digital communications and hospital records to determine whether the arrested doctors played a direct role in radicalizing individuals or facilitating the attack.
