Jalaun Teacher Arrested for Alleged Obscene Acts on Minor Girl

Jalaun, UP: A shocking case has emerged from Jalaun district, Uttar Pradesh, where a teacher has been arrested for allegedly committing obscene acts with a minor girl. The incident came to light after the victim’s family lodged a complaint with the police, prompting immediate action.

According to police reports, the accused, identified as 55-year-old Ramesh Chandra Niranjan, a resident of Gandhi Nagar in Konch Kotwali, had been running a tuition center for local children for several years.

Incident Details
The incident reportedly took place on Sunday afternoon when the accused visited a residential colony in Konch to conduct tuition classes. At that time, the girl’s mother was away for work, and her elder sister was also not at home. Allegedly, the teacher took advantage of the situation, locked the door, and subjected the minor girl to obscene behavior. When the girl screamed, the accused allegedly tried to calm her and then left the premises. The girl later reported pain and narrated the entire incident to her mother upon her return home.

Police Action and Arrest
The next day, when the accused returned to teach, local residents confronted him regarding the incident. He attempted to flee but was caught by the locals, who immediately alerted the UP-112 police. A police team arrived at the scene and took him into custody.

A case has been registered against the teacher under the POCSO Act, and the victim has been sent for a medical examination. Konch Kotwali Station Officer, Parmeshwar Prasad, confirmed that the police are conducting a thorough and impartial investigation, and further legal action will be taken based on the findings.
