Jalaun Couple Marries in Haste, Seeks Police Protection via Viral Video Amid Threats

Jalaun, UP: A startling incident has emerged from Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, where a young couple secretly married and later posted a video on social media seeking police protection due to threats from family members.

Couple Secretly Marries Amid Threats
The incident took place in Musmariya village under Churkhi police station. Richa, the bride, alleged that she faced life-threatening danger from her father, brother, and uncle. According to her, even some of her relatives are associated with the police, which has intensified her fear. She and her husband, Viru alias Akshay Singh, had been hiding since December 7, fearing harassment, which also affected their studies.

Social Media Video Highlights Security Concerns
In the viral video, Richa stated that the marriage was consensual and that the couple decided to marry of their own free will. She emphasized the imminent danger posed by her family members and requested immediate protection from authorities. The couple urged the administration to intervene, warning that any harm caused to them would be the responsibility of her relatives.

Threats from Family Members with Police Connections
Richa specifically named her father Kaushal Singh, brother Laxman Singh, Ram Pratap Singh, Bharat Pratap Singh, uncle Shivchandra Singh, and cousin Surya Pratap Singh as individuals responsible for any potential harm. She stressed that the presence of police officials in her family is a major reason for her fear and the urgency of their protection request.

The viral video has garnered widespread attention, making the case a topic of discussion across the region. Local authorities are reportedly taking the matter seriously and have begun investigations to ensure the couple’s safety.
