
Jaipur: For the first time ever, the people of Jaipur will get an up-close view of the Indian Army’s Army Day Parade. Scheduled for 15 January 2026 in Jagatpura, the parade will showcase the bravery, discipline, and technological prowess of the Indian Army, featuring soldiers, combat aircraft, and even robot dogs.

Preparations Underway
The parade route along Mahal Road, Jagatpura, spans approximately 3.5 kilometers, and rehearsals are in full swing. More than half a dozen contingents are training daily from 7 AM to 12 PM, including exercises with robotic dogs. The Jaipur Traffic Police have implemented major traffic diversions to ensure smooth conduct of rehearsals and the main event. Certain roads have been closed, and temporary restrictions have been placed on activities such as kite flying to avoid interference with aerial displays.
Public Access and Experience
To let citizens experience the parade firsthand, the route from NRI Chauraha to Bombay Hospital on Mahal Road will be open to the public on 9, 11, 13, and 15 January 2026, from 6 AM to 12 PM. Visitors will witness the discipline, valor, and operational expertise of the Indian Army, with thousands expected to attend.

Officials Oversee Final Preparations
Jaipur Chief Secretary C. Srinivas, along with senior officials from the Home Department and army officers, inspected the parade preparations. Key dignitaries present included Principal Secretary Naveen Jain, Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, Jaipur Municipal Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Saini, Major Generals Amar Ramdasani and Rohit Mehrotra, Brigadiers Surendra Singh Shekhawat and Sanjay Sharma, and Colonel Subhash Basera.
This historic parade promises Jaipur residents an unforgettable experience of India’s military might, combining tradition, technology, and spectacular visual displays.
